About Our Workshop
Dedicated British engineering craftsmen salvaging, preserving, and electrically recommissioning classic coin-op amusement equipment since 1998.
Preserving the Golden Era of British Electro-Mechanical Amusement
Founded in the heart of Yorkshire, Fruit Machine Salvage began with a singular mission: to rescue authentic electro-mechanical fruit machines, vintage reel cabinets, and iconic pinball tables from neglect, scrapyards, and damp warehouses, returning them to pristine mechanical and aesthetic condition.
While contemporary mass-market gaming has migrated to disposable touchscreen apps, nothing compares to the tactile satisfaction of an authentic weighted spin reel, the acoustic clatter of physical solenoid stops, or the vibrant illumination of genuine silkscreen glass. Our Leeds engineering workshop combines traditional electro-mechanical restoration techniques with modern digital power safety standards.
The Salvage & Recommissioning Standard
Every machine that enters our Leeds premises is subjected to a methodical disassembly process. We strip each cabinet down to its structural frame, eradicate corrosion, ultrasonically clean wiring harnesses and circuit boards, and neutralize historical battery seepage that ruins vintage MPU boards.
UK Power Adaptation
We fit modern UK 230V toroidal transformers and high-spec fused line filters, ensuring cabinets run cool, quiet, and 100% safe inside residential living spaces.
Opto-Mechanical Balance
Stepper reels are recalibrated, bearings lubricated with aerospace-grade synthetic grease, and optical index sensors checked for microsecond timing precision.
Collector Ready
Equipped with custom souvenir brass tokens or integrated free-play toggles, brand-new tubular locks, matching keys, and full operational documentation.
